The climb to Cap de Formentor is one of Mallorca’s true classics. Once you pass Coll de Sa Creueta this is the final stretch to the lighthouse.

The road rolls and rises along the peninsula with constant views of the sea, cliffs, and pine-covered hills, making it hard not to look around.

At the end of the road, the lighthouse is a natural stopping point. There’s a small café where you can grab a cold drink or a snack, and it’s worth taking a few minutes to soak in the views before heading back. The final stretch can be busy with cars, especially later in the day, so stay aware.

On the return, keep an eye out for the photographer set up on one of the bends. This is where the iconic shot happens, you, the road, and the lighthouse lined up perfectly. If you want a lasting memory of the ride, you can buy the photo afterwards.
