This tour is a great introduction to Black Forest cycling. For road cyclists from Freiburg this tour offers the perfect ride after work. You will ascend the Schauinsland, Freiburg's local mountain, which is certainly a challenge with a 15-kilometer climb of almost 1,000 meters / 3000 ft. of elevation.
Once you reach the top, the most beautiful panorama of the Black Forest awaits you. Pack a light jack or something warm as it's a rapid descent back to Freiburg.
