The ascent begins in the small village of Bunyola. From there, the road climbs quietly through dense forest and into the Orient valley. It is narrow and twisting but never gets steep. The descent into the valley on the ohter side is one of the most peaceful stretches of road on the island.

There is little traffic on this climb so plenty of time to enjoy.
