This ascent links the industrial valley with the high plateau above Trapagaran. Once the road starts to rise you gain height quickly as the bottom 1.3 kilometer are the steepest. After that the gradient is fairly consistent.
The character of the climb is defined by a series of clear hairpin bends that stack up through the middle section. From here the views over the valley and the coastline open up while you ride to the top.
