The blue loop of the Tour of Flanders may start off easy, but the climbs come quickly. You leave Oudenaarde’s Market Square and follow the towpath along the Scheldt for a gentle warm-up. Then comes the Oude Kwaremont to kick things off properly.
Through Kwaremont, you pass Ronde van Vlaanderenstraat, a quiet nod to the legends of the Ronde. Keep things steady, because the Paterberg, Koppenberg, and Taaienberg are still waiting.
Take a break Hotondmolen cafe for a break on the terrace with a view. After that, it’s back to Oudenaarde, rolling through the scenic Kluisbos forest and the heart of Kluisbergen.
