Puerto de Confrides and Puerto de Tudons from Calpe

With nearly 2000 meters of climbing over 110 kilometers, this route is a proper mountain day on quiet roads. The elevation builds in two long efforts: first up to Puerto de Confrides through forested slopes and terraced hillsides. Just before the top, the village of Confrides offers a natural break at El Pirineo before the descent toward Alcolecha. From there, the road turns upward again to Puerto de Tudons, a steady climb surrounded by limestone ridges and pine trees. On the descent, Puig Campana rises sharp and vertical on the skyline, one of the most distinctive peaks on the Costa Blanca.
