Puerto de Los Núñez, Almogía, Puerto del Barco and Colmenar from Málaga

Leaving Málaga behind, this route climbs into the western Montes de Málaga on a network of narrow, scenic roads with a real sense of escape. It begins with the gentle rise through pine forest toward Puerto de Los Núñez, then winds past Almogía, a whitewashed village.

From there, the gradients get sharper on Puerto del Barco, a challenging climb with wide views across the valleys. After a descent into Colmenar, it's time for the last climbing section of the day. From there it's a winding descent all the way back to the coast.
