This route explores the southern Harz and its unique karst landscape, where forests open into rocky hills, sinkholes and wide limestone plateaus. The terrain is rolling and never too extreme, but it keeps the ride engaging with constant changes in rhythm. Quiet roads lead through small villages and open countryside with plenty of space to settle into steady riding. It is a relaxed but varied loop that shows a very different side of the Harz.
