The climb eases in gently through the bustle of La Massana. Once you take the turn toward Arinsal, the real work begins. After passing through Pal, it kicks up a bit as you ride out of the valley and into the trees. Just beyond the cable car, things level out briefly before you hit the final stretch at about 3 km to go. The road takes you all the way to the Spanish border, ending at a quiet car park. Port de Cabus is a beautiful climb that never really gets too steep and offers beautiful views.
