Puerto de Maigmó from Agost
You begin in Agost and climb gently at first through open lower slopes before the road tightens and bends up into the heart of the Sierra del Maigmó. The terrain switches from fields and almond trees to more arid, rocky slopes where you’ll pass exposed clay and ochre‑coloured badlands with clear views of ravines and red‑toned strata. The road snakes upward in long sweeping curves and you’ll see the serpentine flips of tarmac below you as you ride. Traffic remains light and much of the route gives a sense of space and simplicity rather than steep intensity.
