The Coll de Rates from Parcent is popular for a reason—steady gradients, big valley views, and even a glimpse of the coast. But if you want a quieter, more rewarding ride, start from Callosa d’en Sarrià via Bolulla (where the climb really starts). From there, the CV-715 takes you through forested switchbacks and open curves for about 14 kilometers of scenic climbing. The toughest gradients hit just before Tarbena, where the views really open up. After a short breather, the final stretch delivers a stunning panorama at the top.
