Belchen
The 1,414-meter-high Belchen should be included in any Black Forest pass collection. The road does not quite reach the summit, but leads to the Belchenhaus at an altitude of 1360 meters. To enjoy the full experience, it is worth making the entire ascent of around 800 meters from the Wiesental valley. The final climb is challenging: the average gradient here is around 7%, but in some places it exceeds 12%.
