This is one of the most photogenic climbs in the region, rising immediately into a tight sequence of perfectly cut hairpins above L’Escarène. The gradient settles into a steady rhythm that lets you climb seated and controlled, while the switchbacks stack dramatically against the rock face below.

As you gain height the views open across the Paillon valley, and the final approach feels more exposed and alpine before the road tips over toward Sospel.
