Big Epic Loop - South of Gran Canaria

With this route you cover some of the most epic climbs on the south side of Gran Canaria. The opening part already works as a warm up for what lies ahead. Once you reach the halfway point and roll out of La Aldea de San Nicolás, the real challenge begins. The infamous Valley of the Tears follows, a brutally tough climb with double digit gradients for much of the ascent. Reaching the top feels earned. From there a long descent awaits, and you deserve every meter of it.
Tip. Make sure to fill up on water before leaving La Aldea de San Nicolás. Options to refill are very limited after town.
