Plateau des Glières

This route leaves Annecy through quieter backroads before climbing gradually onto the balcony roads beneath the Parmelan plateau, where the views begin opening across the lake and surrounding valleys. The terrain constantly changes between rolling sections, forest roads and steeper ramps as the route heads deeper toward the Plateau des Glières. Higher up, the landscape becomes far more open and rugged, with alpine pastureland replacing the denser woodland lower down.

A short gravel section crosses the plateau itself, adding a more remote and adventurous feel before the route reconnects with the road descent back toward the valleys and eventually returns to Annecy.
