Sellaronda
Maybe the most iconic loop in entire Italy, the Sellaronda is a paradise for cyclists. You'll never forget your first circle around the Sella group, a plateau-shaped massif in the Dolomites. Sellaronda goes up and down some of the Dolomites' most iconic climbs, such as the Passo Pordoi or Gardena, and the views are just breathtaking.
Maratona dles Dolomites
The Maratona dles Dolomites is Italy’s most iconic Gran Fondo, drawing cyclists from around the globe. This legendary route features some of the toughest climbs in the Dolomites. After an opening loop around the Sellaronda, you return to Corvara to tackle Passo Campolongo a second time. Then comes the formidable Passo Giau, followed by the lunar-like landscape of Passo Valparola. The final sting is the Mür dl Giat (“Wall of the Cat”), with a brutal 19% gradient. More than a challenge, it’s the Maratona.
Vall Gardena loop
Don’t let the elevation profile fool you into thinking this is an easy day in the saddle. While it looks manageable on paper, you’ll still tackle over 2,000 meters of climbing. This route perfectly balances a legendary Dolomite ascent with sweeping valley views and long, rewarding descents.
Sella Ronda + Passo delle Erbe
This route title truly says it all. From Canazei, you ride the Sella Ronda counterclockwise and dive straight into the heart of the Dolomites. The road leads you over Passo Pordoi and Passo Campolongo before turning north toward Passo delle Erbe, also known as Würzjoch. On the way back, you reconnect with the Sella Ronda loop. The ride finishes in classic style with Passo Gardena and Passo Sella.
Three Passes loop: Valparola, Falzarego and Campolongo
An incredible alternative to the Sella Ronda, this loop offers similar distance and elevation but with its own dreamlike landscapes. Starting in San Cassiano, you’ll begin with the winding climb up the Valparola Pass. After passing the unique Valparola Lake, turn right at the Lagazuoi intersection for a fast descent past the Falzarego Pass, diving through spectacular rock-carved tunnels. From Livinallongo, the route heads to Arabba before taking on the final challenge: the ascent of Passo Campolongo. A final stretch through Corvara brings you back to your starting point. Like many routes in this area you can choose to ride it in both directions.
Passo delle Erbe & Gardena Pass
Packed into just over 100 kilometers, this route takes you over two legendary Dolomite passes. You’ll first tackle the Passo delle Erbe (also known as Würzjoch), followed by a descent that leads directly into the ascent of the Gardena Pass. While the loop can be ridden in either direction, riding it clockwise allows you to finish on a descent rather than a final climb.
