Livigno All You Can Climb
A classic long and challenging loop starting from Livigno, which can be tackled in either direction. Climbing the Stelvio first allows for a more relaxed return via the Bernina and Forcola passes. Along the route, there are plenty of refreshment stops, bars and restaurants available. This route can easily be started from Bormio as well.
Bernina Classic
A classic loop starting from Bormio. After descending the Valtellina, the route climbs the Bernina from Tirano, just like the famous red train. Its tracks often cross the road, so stay alert! The return to Bormio takes you over the Forcola, Eira, and Foscagno passes.
Engadina Tour
A must-ride in Livigno. After climbing the Forcola and Bernina, launch yourself at full speed toward the Engadin. Here, it’s not uncommon to cover nearly fifty kilometers consecutively at over 40 km/h. After tackling half of the Forno Pass, return to Livigno via the tunnel (bike shuttles run every hour) and the lakeside galleries.
Mottolino will be enough
Warm up along Livigno’s cycling path, then begin the climb toward the Eira. From the pass, tackle the wall of the Mottolino. This climb is partly on easy gravel and featured in the 2024 Giro d’Italia, when Tadej Pogačar took victory. You can round off the loop with the charming Trepalle bike path.
Switzerland Calling
A true adventure, mostly on Swiss soil. After crossing the Forcola and Bernina, the route leads into the enchanting valley of St. Moritz before taking on the Julier Pass. Surrounded by alpine lakes, quaint Swiss villages, and mountain streams, you’ll reach the Albula Pass to return to the Engadin valley and close the loop.
Forcola, Bernina and back to Livigno
A short but intense ride, featuring three climbs above 2,300 meters. The Forcola di Livigno is one of the most popular ascents among the many professional cyclists who train in the area. Especially in July and August, you’re sure to encounter plenty of them!
