About GPX Files
What is a GPX file?
GPX (GPS Exchange Format) is the standard file format for GPS data. It stores waypoints, routes, and tracks with coordinates, elevation, and timestamps. GPX files work with cycling computers from Garmin, Wahoo, Hammerhead, and apps like Komoot, Ride with GPS, and Strava.
Why edit a GPX file?
There are many reasons to edit a GPX route: remove the section where you forgot to stop recording, reverse a route to ride it the other way, split a long tour into day stages, combine multiple routes into one file, or change the start point of a loop to begin from a different location.
