The Vaalserberg is the highest point in the Netherlands, topping out at 322.4 meters. Right near the summit, you'll find the Drielandenpunt, where the borders of the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany meet.

This is one of the longer and tougher climbs around. It kicks off just outside Vaals and starts to get steeper after you roll under the viaduct. Things dget harder once you had into the first switchbacks. Once you reach the Drielandenpunt parking lot the climb fades out.

At the summit, you can swing by the Drielandenpunt, though it’s usually packed with tourists. From there, either roll back the way you came or enjoy the scenic drop down the Côte des Trois Frontières into Belgium.
