The Oude Kwaremont is the crown jewel of the Ronde van Vlaanderen, and often where the race blows wide open. It’s the longest cobbled climb in Flanders, stretching out for 2200 meters and gaining 92 meters of elevation. On paper, the 4% average gradient sounds almost friendly. But right in the middle, it kicks up to a sharp 11.6%, and doing that over rough cobbles? That’s where the legs really start to burn. The Strava segment kicks off at the start of the cobbles, so get ready.
