El Torcal (from Antequera) is a climb that start out of the plains around Antequera into one of the most unusual limestone landscapes in southern Spain, with strange rock formations rising above the road as you gain height.

The climb stays mostly steady at first through open countryside, giving way to increasingly rugged terrain and broader views of the surrounding hills. Once you leave the main road, the climb becomes a bit more challenging with some double digit sections.
