Annecy / Col de la Forclaz from Vesonne

Col de la Forclaz from Vesonne

Length
8.1 km
Elevation
629 m
Gradient
7.7%

You start climbing in Vesonne, hitting the steep gradients immediately. The road stays narrow as you gain elevation, winding through a dense forest that keeps the gradient feeling consistent and demanding.

The trees thin out near the top, where the road opens up to views across Lake Annecy, which makes the climb really rewarding. You finish the climb in the sun, usually dodging the shadows of paragliders drifting over the final pass.

At the top you'll find a natural resting point and some touristy viewpoints. For the best views take your bike up to the paragliders launch site just above the main road.
