Timanfaya, La Santa and Famara from Playa Blanca

Leave Playa Blanca and head north through the lava plains of La Hoya toward the steady climb into Timanfaya, surrounded by black volcanic fields. Descend to Tinajo and continue to La Santa, a good early coffee stop by the sea. Follow the coast to Famara beneath towering cliffs, then climb inland to Teguise through Soo and Teseguite.

From Teguise, roll through Tahiche and San Bartolomé, both offering solid café options before entering the vineyards of La Geria. Vines grow in volcanic ash behind curved stone walls, with quiet roads leading you through Uga and Las Breñas before the final drop back into Playa Blanca.
