Los Gigantes to Punta de Teno Lighthouse

This route delivers big climbs and some of the best views on the island. You roll out from Los Gigantes and start the climb toward Erjos. From there, a beautiful descent drops you back to the coast. Ride on to Buenavista del Norte, then settle into a winding climb up to Mirador Altos de Baracán, continuing on to Masca and Mirador de Cherfe.

The ride to Vilaflor is a solid warm-up for a climb up to El Teide. We take the easier way up through Granadilla de Abona, then follow the winding, well-paved road up to Vilaflor. It’s a good spot to take a break before the descent back down to the coast.

Coastal loop to San Miguel

Starting from Los Cristianos, this route rolls along the coast all the way to El Medano before turning uphill. The main climb kicks in as you head toward Granadilla de Abona. From there, it's a long, sweeping descent back down to Los Cristianos.

Climb the winding roads up Parque Rural de Anaga twice to take in the coastal views from both sides of the mountains. If you’re looking to extend the ride, consider heading east toward La Cumbrilla.

West side of the Teide

For a longer ride starting from the south that doesn’t go all the way to El Teide, this one hits the mark. Head north toward the town of Chío, where the climb through the Corona Forestal Natural Park begins. You’ll ride through a mix of lava fields and forest, climbing to nearly 2200 meters before enjoying the descent back down to the coast.

From La Orotava, this route takes you all the way up to El Portillo and toward the Teide Observatory, a climb of nearly 2000 meters. From there, follow the road down into the Las Lagunetas Protected Landscape, heading toward San Cristobal de La Laguna and then down to the coast. It’s a descent that stretches for almost 50 kilometers. For the final part, ride parallel to the coastline to make your way back into town.
