Scenic Ardennes Ride
Roll out easy on the RAVeL from Stavelot, then climb out of the valley toward Bergeval. You'll pass the Lienne Beer brewery, then it kicks up again toward Commanster — a tiny village hidden above Vielsalm, out in the middle of nowhere. From there, it’s quiet roads heading north. You’ll take on Mont-le-Soie from the south before dropping down into the final climb of the day the côte de Wanne.
Eddy Merckx Loop
Right from the start, you’re climbing the legendary Col du Stockeu, with the Eddy Merckx monument waiting at the top. Then it’s straight into the backside of the Côte de Wanne. Once you're through that, things ease up a bit and the legs get a break. At least until the La Vecquée climb shows up halfway through. In Spa, you’ve got a choice. Grab a coffee or roll on. After that, the RAVeL brings smoother riding and a fast, flowing descent all the way back to Stavelot. It’s a ride packed with challenging climbs, quiet backroads, and a smooth descent to finish.
Heart of the Ardennes
This route dives straight into the soul of the Ardennes. Right from the start, you’ll roll past Brasserie Chouffe, home of the iconic La Chouffe beer. From there, it’s a mix of rolling terrain that carries you to the scenic reservoir lake of Coo. A perfect spot to pause for a coffee or bite at Le Coffee Ride. From there, the RAVeL path rolls you into Stavelot, setting you up for the classic Col du Stockeu. After that punchy climb, you’ll drop down Côte de Wanne and head straight into Côte de Mont-le-Soie. The final stretch winds through the rolling countryside past Vielsalm, guiding you back to Houffalize. It’s a demanding but fun loop
Mini Liege-Bastonge-Liege
Don’t feel like riding the full Liège–Bastogne–Liège? This challenging 180 km route is a perfect way to tap into the best of the full route. The first half heads south with steady, rolling terrain that gently climbs. Once you turn back toward Liège, the famous climbs follow in a fast pace. Expect icon climbs like Côte de Wanne, Col du Stockeu, Col du Rosier, La Redoute, Côte des Forges, and a finale on Côte de la Roche-aux-Faucons before descending back into Liege.
Lake Gileppe and Baraque Michel
This route takes you north of Malmedy to the Gileppe Reservoir. After following the lakeshore roads, you'll climb toward the Baraque Michel, the highest point in Belgium. From the top, enjoy a fast descent back to town.
The Reservoir Loop
This route takes you over some of the longest climbs in the Ardennes and the High Fens, and deep into the Nationalpark the Eifel in Germany. After rolling out of Malmedy, the first big effort is Baraque Michel. It’s a long climb, but the steady gradient makes it manageable. From there, a fast descent drops you into Eupen, where you’ll ride along one of the many reservoirs in the region. Next up is the Grunklosterberg. It’s another long, steady climb—12 km at 2.6%—mostly shaded under the trees. Crossing into Germany, the ride heads toward the Rursee. Expect stunning views on the reservoir and some challenging climbs. On the return, you’ll pass through Monschau—a picture-perfect town that’s also a popular stop for tourists. Back in Belgium, you’ll follow the Vennbahn for a bit and pass the Robertville Dam. After that, it’s all downhill back to Malmedy. A solid route to explore the High Fens and the Eifel, without ever straying far from the Ardennes.
