Similar as the 'loop from Furtwangen' but with the start and finish in Freiburg adding roughly 80 kilometers more to the route. Note that after 88 kilometers there is a gravel section of ±2 kilometer which is doable on a roadbike. This saves you a 8 kilometer detour.

Schauinsland-Oberried Loop

You will ascend the Schauinsland, Freiburg's local mountain, which is certainly a challenge with a 15-kilometer climb of almost 1,000 meters / 3000 ft. of elevation. Once you reach the top, the most beautiful panorama of the Black Forest awaits you. Pack a light jack or something warm as it's a rapid descent back to Freiburg.
