Loop to Furtwangen
Similar as the 'loop from Furtwangen' but with the start and finish in Freiburg adding roughly 80 kilometers more to the route. Note that after 88 kilometers there is a gravel section of ±2 kilometer which is doable on a roadbike. This saves you a 8 kilometer detour.
Through the southern Black Forest
This route takes you on a wide arc through the southern Black Forest. Starting from Titsee-Neustadt, you cycle through typical countryside on roads with little traffic. This tour gives you a wonderful overview of the southern part of the low mountain range and takes you right to the Swiss border.
To the Feldberg summit
The Feldberg is the highest peak in the Black Forest and therefore a must for summit collectors. You start at Schluchsee and tackle the ascent via Glashütten. Once you reach the top, you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the view before cycling back to the lake through the Southern Black Forest Nature Park. It's best not to take this tour during peak season as it can get busy on this road.
From Titsee-Neustadt through the Hexenlochtal valley
The Hexenloch is a rustic Black Forest valley that welcomes you with plenty of idyllic scenery and little cell phone reception. On the climb from the valley up to the Black Forest High Road, you'll gain a lot of elevation before completing the loop back to Freudenstadt. Please note: The route takes you along a short stretch of the busy B500 road.
Around the Feldberg
This route takes the classic start over the Schauinsland to Todtnau and takes you around the Feldberg with a wide loop via Schluchsee and Titisee. Note that there is a small gravel section after the Rinken summit for about 750 meter. It's a wide forest road that is perfectly doable on a normal road bike.
