Guayadeque from Arinaga is a steady and scenic climb that leads from the coastal plains near Agüimes into the heart of one of Gran Canaria’s most impressive valleys.
The road rises gently at first, then more firmly as it enters the Barranco de Guayadeque. In the final kilometres, the gradient increases as the valley narrows and the road climbs toward the highlands, leaving the coast far below.
