Col du Marais from Saint-Ferréol
You start this climb in the quiet village of Saint-Ferréol, where the road immediately tilts upward through tight, wooded switchbacks. The first few kilometres keep a consistent, steady rhythm that lets you find your gear before the slope mellows out near the hamlet of L'Herne.
As you reach the upper sections, the trees thin and you pedal through open fields with views across to the Tournette massif. The final push to the summit is short and direct, ending right beside the old stone wall of the mountain chapel.
The climb is never really steep making it fun for anyone to ride.
In Serraval, you can fill your bottles in the public toilets located next to the church.
